New Zealand
New Zealand is a country located in the South Western Pacific Ocean, comprising of two large islands and numerous smaller islands. The capital of New Zealand is Wellington and is the country's second largest urban area and the southern most capital city in the world. It is on the southern tip of the North Island, near the geographical centre of the country.
Wellington is the centre of the nation's film industry and in recent years films such as the Lord of the Rings and King Kong have had scenes shot in the surrounding terrain.
In 1841, Auckland was the original capital of New Zealand until 1865 when Wellington replaced it.
The country's national sport is rugby union and the All Blacks are New Zealand's national team. The have a winning record against every International rugby team and compete in the Tri-Nations series against Australia (the Wallabies) and the South African team (the Springboks). The All Blacks perform a 'haka' (Maori dance) before each international match.
